Most of my chars have 'normal' names, but a couple I just had fun with.

Ozymandias Aylomen (elementalist, because shelly is good)
Risac Aylomen (monk, just a random name)
Albino Dwarfboy (warrior, shortest and palest I could make him, influenced by a book)
Sabriel Aylomen (necromancer, influenced by a book)
Medea Aylomen (mesmer, first name is from the tragedy Medea)
Itchy Itchy Ranger (ranger, was supposed to be Itchy Itchy Scratchy, but 1 char too long)

RPG names are the most annoying of all. Hell, I think the poorly spelled rip-offs of pop culture characters are at least a bit more creative. If I see one more person named "___________ Silvermoon" I swear I'll kill someone. Whatever has meaning to you I guess though. People will choose what they like best and no one has a right to tell them what's wrong.. unless it's offensive and A.Net gets mad.

Warrior - Broken Benjamin (named after the band Breaking Benjamin)
Ranger - Turtle Poison (because I play Kurzick and my alliance is Luxon

)
Necro - El Davo (because my name is Dave)
Rit - Il Sinister Il (because he looks like the X-Men villain)
Monk - Sammael of Sin (My RPG name because Sammael sounds cool)

Kobrakai X (looked on a CD ^^)
Stalkrim X (got from another game)
Tearjeaker X (looked on another CD ^^)

if u see the X on the end of the names, that is cause i wanted them to match up, and my first character i need 2 words to complete, wat better than X eh?

well.... I got a bit of both, but thats just me i like medievil stuff with knights and stuff so thats why I name my chars
with that kinda stuff..

u alraedy know my char names, and yes we all have a right to name them w/e we want just cant take one more 'D a e th S Cumin fur u!" name or "U got rpd" im getting sick of that

and as for the silvermoon names i agree to many, mucha lucha! lol

All of my characters except my monk have the name Scorpio in them. Why? Not really sure but my very first ever character was named Scorpio The Mighty back on my brothers account before i got my own and had to delete him. So i have just kept naming my guys Scorpio. Some people follow patterns, some dont. Its a name either way.

Im all up for clever names and such but its when im in Kaineng and I see the half a million "Leglas" and "aragon" characters that I get mad. Oh and the last name always has "trueshot" I like it when a person has fun with there names if its as a joke. However I dont like when Im in beacons and I see the whammo with a name like "LOL Droks run"

I try to be creative in my character's names, it just doesn't always work out that way. I do try to keep a sense of role playing in the names.

My characters:
Countess of Carnage - Necro
Countess of Courage - Warrior
Lin Shui Yao - Rit (roughly means "Jade Sea Treasure" in Chinese, obviously intended to be Luxon

)
Maya Magnesium - Ele (just had fun with that one)
Priestess of Wisdom - Monk
Kano Ishikawa - Ranger (the character meant to be 'husband' to my wife's Ele character Takara Ishikawa)

My wife's Characters:
Lady Alleyn - Ranger
Kohana Haru - Mesmer
Oni Sachiko - Necro
Takara Ishikawa - Ele
Alexa the Merciless - Warrior
Shaman Asclepius - Rit (my personal favorite - Asclepius was the demi god of healing and medicine in Greek mythology, the popular staff with a coiled snake symbol on most ambulances is known as the "Rod of Asclepius")

The worst part is, people complain about my (original, no?) names, and don't get frustrated by all those pwnage "Asasins", and they even like my Retarded animal nicknames...

Yes, i can't help the feeling the people that have names like 'Alexxander Teh Great' (dunno if it exists, but it's just an example), or 'Brohter Mhenloo' aren't that smart, and sadly enough, my prejudices are correct at least 90% of the time. (No offense, btw)

PS: also, it has come to mind that loads of Dutch people use 'Shadow' or 'Dark' in their name, often followed by 'Wolf'. And really, 4/5th of the people that i know with those words in the name are Dutch, no kidding.

theyre just names, let them choose what they want
